Murs, 25, and Solomon, 20, opened the Boat Show with a photocall on the brand new Sunseeker Portofino 48 luxury yacht, before performing their most popular songs from The X Factor.
Ironically, while the pair were posing on a static yacht in London's Docklands, X Factor judge Simon Cowell is thousands of miles away holidaying in the Caribbean on a £625,000 luxury cruiser.
"I think if you put a barrier in front of yourself and say: 'Oh because I'm famous I can't do that' then you're going to just sit at home and do nothing."Yeah, it can be difficult just taking a girl for a general dinner but I think meeting people is quite easy."I like to go to bars with my mates in Essex and I don't like to put any barriers up so if I meet someone I like and I feel attracted to them then I'll take them on a date.
However, despite hinting at a cheeky hook-up here and there, Olly says he isn't ready for a full-blown relationship."I'm not really in that place at the minute," he continued."I kind of have and I haven't but I've sort of dipped in and out really. "I'm still trying to get over how it happened – I'm trying to get over the break-up really, you know."I don't think I'm ready to meet anyone else just yet."My mates keep trying to get me to go on Tinder but yeah, never say never." The Essex lad has just dropped his new single, You Don't Know Love – which directly tackles his shock split.
With their matching Essex accents and happy-go-lucky personalities, it was no surprise when Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs formed a close bond in the X Factor house. In 2010, Murs released his debut single "Please Don't Let Me Go", which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Charts and received a Gold certification by the BPI.It was Murs' first number one single after "You Are Not Alone" with the other series 6 finalists. It was horrendous.'Olly reportedly tried to woo Laura - a cheerleader for Leeds Rhinos rugby league champions - for weeks and only last month was photographed kissing and cuddling the 21-year-old in a London park near the X Factor house. She said: 'Of course I was devastated at the way it finished.Yeah, we hug, but it’s because we get on really well. 'Of course it’s going to get splashed all over the papers. She’s an attractive girl, don’t get me wrong, but generally I just see her as a friend.'Olly's denial is sure to please his mentor Simon Cowell, who is said to have banned relationships between the contestants. And despite a month having past since they left the X Factor house, it appears the pair are still close.Combining work and pleasure, the Essex natives looked thrilled to be in each others company as they were reunited at the London International Boat Show today.Getting close: Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon danced together during the opening number of Sunday night's X Factor results show Olly said that he and the 20-year-old were surprised they had never met before.'We’re from the same area and funnily enough, we were talking the other day and all the clubs I used to go to in Essex, she’s been to pretty much every one,' he said. But it’s just one of them things.'But for now Olly is simply focusing on the competition.During their time on X Factor, finalists Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs were frequently romantically linked.
