Trac Fone® is a prepaid cell phone service provider. It also owns brands such as Net10® and Straight Talk®.
It does not have its own network, and instead operates as a virtual network operator, by purchasing network space from the four top carriers: Sprint®, T-Mobile®, Verizon®, and AT&T®.
About a year and a half ago, I made the switch from Verizon to Net10.
This cut my cell phone bill from /month to /month for two phones.
Click "Add" on upper right corner of map, enter address and select carrier.
Trac Fone phones tend to be “homed” on the Sprint network first, followed by T-Mobile, then Verizon, and AT&T as a last resort.
We suspect it has to do with pricing charged by the carriers to lease their network space.
Once again, they agreed that I needed the micro card and said it would arrive in 2 days. I have had it with Trac Fone's Customer Service department. It was supposed to be working within 2-4hours today. I will be using minutes I have with Tracfone and then going to a new service.
I have been trying to help a blind, disabled friend transfer her Trac Fone service to her smartphone since it is set up to help accommodate her. Wanted to upgrade to smartphone, and purchased the phone.
